Currently… in October

Today I’m linking up with Oh’ Boy 4th Grade for the Currently link up.

Slide01

Listening – Once in a while there is a need to go back to my roots. Fado always manage to take me back into my Portuguese roots. OK, I do feel a little nostalgic, but what can a girl do? ๐Ÿ™‚

Loving – This year I took even more hours of volunteering work at the local school. I thought I’d be exhausted and tired of it all, but the reality is that even though I AM exhausted, I am truly loving every single moment of it ๐Ÿ™‚

Thinking – After much consideration, and because the teaching job market in Ontario is so hard at the moment, I decided to give it a try withย tutoring. I have done it before (when living in Portugal) and I’m very excited about the whole process to organizing for a new venture. But, being the perfectionist that I am, I need to have every single detail sorted out before I actually take the plunge, lol.

Wanting – I have so many “Work in Progress” products that I feel I do need to finish some, lol. It’s just that the ideas keep coming, and I don’t want to loose track of them… I start all these products… and then have trouble finishing and testing them, lol.

Needing – Yep, my blog needs a few more freebies, doesn’t it? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Trick or Treat – I thought I would bring to your attention twoย items already available in my store that you might have overlooked:

Halloween banner craft activity FREE

FREE Halloween banner craft activity

Halloween File Folder Counting Activities

And now, make sure you go to Oh’ Boy 4th Grade and see other currently posts.

Take care,

    Hi Catia!
I’m from Ontario, too! I took a leave of absence from my classroom this year to do exactly what you’ve been loving – I’ve been volunteering at my kids’ school and am loving every single moment. My oldest is in grade 6 this year, so I knew time was running out before she wouldn’t want her mom to be hanging around her school. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I miss the classroom and am looking forward to returning to it next year, but this is EXACTLY what I needed this year, and I know I’ll return next year stronger because of it.

Hi Jen! Thanks for your message. My daughters are OK with having me in the same school as long as I don’t dare to come into their classrooms, lol. I really miss teaching and volunteering was the best thing I could have done to get me back into a classroom. It is so rewarding!

Hi Catia! Fado is beautiful, but it just makes me so sad!
I’m with you: I also need to work on some freebies ๐Ÿ™‚
I’ve been tutoring since I left the classroom and I really like it. I hope you enjoy it!

Hi Lucy, thank you so much for your message.
Yes, Fado can be very sorrowful, but since I used to sing it too, it makes me feel that I’m in my element. More than sadness, it makes me feel introspective and thoughtful. ๐Ÿ™‚
Of course, if I could dance it, I wouldn’t mind listening to the beats of a great samba ๐Ÿ™‚ But I do listen to Fafa de Belem once in a while (love Vermelho)… and don’t get me started on the music from Sertao… ๐Ÿ˜€
