Summer in our household is synonym of outdoor explorations. Not too many, but still worthwhile 🙂
Hubby and I have a hectic work schedule but we make it a point to take time off to have fun with our children during the Summer. One of the activities we like to do with our children is hiking.
Canada is a country with beautiful sights to see. There are a huge amount of parks and conservation areas that we can explore and enjoy. Two of our favourites are the Coldstream Conservation Area and the Komoka Provincial Park near our city.
For us, contact with nature is essential to a healthy development. We take the opportunity to teach our children the basics about nature and enjoy our silent moments by simply observing nature at its best.
Our expeditions are always full of excitement and sometimes we even have nice surprises. Last year, for example, we were fortunate to have actually seen a doe with its baby about 100 meters from us. They were grazing the greenery and slowly walking towards the wooded areas of the park. My only regret was that I forgot my camera at home… 🙂
This year, however, I went prepared! And look at what one of my daughters and I found!
Here are some more photos of our outings from last week. Enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed going with us for a hike. Summer fun outdoors is amazing!!
