Show & Tell Tuesday

Today I am participating in the Show & Tell Tuesday linky at Forever in 5th Grade!

show and tell tuesday

I haven’t blogged in a while. Life has been getting in the way (as usual) and I have had little or no motivation to write. However, when I was invited to participate in this linky I immediately thought “Why not?”. So here it goes! 🙂

A big mess!!! That’s how my craft/design area looks like at the moment. 🙁 Not very pretty, I must say. Hubby and I have been re-organizing the whole entire house. There are things in our basement that haven’t been opened/used/organized for years! BUT I will be working on it for the next week or so! This is a photo of the boxes I have been making to organize my stuff. They are regular cardboard boxes. I just added a layer or two of acrylic paint, put a label on them and voila: nice colourful boxes for my shelves (even though the photos are a little dark 🙂 ). Hopefully these will help my area feel a lot nicer once I’m done with it 😀

It has been a long time since I shared any of my baking creations. This is a cake I made for a friend’s birthday about a year ago. It took me over 10 hours to get it all done but it was worth it 🙂

Those who know me well know that I am not one for too much glamour. In fact, my usual idea of glamour is to just make sure my clothes are nice and clean, and my hair is not flying all over the place, lol. However, once in a while I do get into it… particularly now that I have pre-teen and teen daughters. So, for the last week we have been experimenting with nail polish and tape. Yes, you heard me: TAPE! These were just the first experiment (not bad, hein?), but the girls are looking forward to many more “scientific explorations into the world of nail polish”… 😀

Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock… I have been working on my telling time collection for almost 2 months. My dreams are starting to revolve around clocks, lol. I know it will be worth it in the end (my tutoring kiddos love the stuff I have been making for them), but it sure is starting to be a little too much, lol. The bottom photo is of the clipart I am drawing for this collection. I am making 720 images (1 per minute) for each clock and each colour (there are about 10 different clocks with 12 colour variations)… you can probably imagine how tired of clocks I am at the moment, lol.

And that’s it! This is my show and tell for this month. We’ll see what I come up with for next month 😉

Take care,

Organizing things can be so overwhelming when you get started on a new project, but it’s so satisfying when it’s done! Your colorful boxes will make it look twice as nice! Thanks for linking up!

Thank you, Stephanie. I am hoping that I don’t get too overwhelmed. We have to get rid of a lot of stuff and it is boring to have to go through every single box, lol!

Your cake is so amazing. I would never have the patience to work for 10 hours on a cake!

Thank you Brandi! Yes, patience is definitely the word, lol. I only do about 4 or 5 in a row. The rest of the time is distributed over a few days.
